Shifts And Overtimes - Let's Get You Started!

The Shifts & Overtimes module allows administrators to create work shifts, assign schedules to employees, and manage overtime tracking. This section helps organizations control employee working hours, maintain shift schedules, and ensure accurate attendance and overtime calculations. Administrators can configure shift timings, define working rules, and assign schedules to employees. Employees can also view their assigned shifts and working schedules through the My Shifts section.

Assign Shifts

The Assign Shifts page allows administrators to assign predefined schedules to employees.

Key Features

  1. Select employees from the user list
  2. Choose a schedule or shift type
  3. Assign shifts for a specific date
  4. Manage active shift schedules

How to Assign a Shift

  1. Navigate to Shifts & Overtimes → Assign Shifts.
  2. Select employees from the list.
  3. Choose the Shift Schedule.
  4. Select the Date.
  5. Click Assign To User.

Admins can also edit or remove assigned shifts from the actions column.

Shift Setup

The Setup section allows administrators to create and manage shift configurations used across the organization.

Create Shift

  1. Shift Name
  2. Shift Start Time
  3. Shift End Time
  4. Shift Color
  5. Attendance Window

Shift Rules

  1. Allow first punch as shift-in
  2. Allow last punch as shift-out
  3. Grace period for late arrival
  4. Automatic checkout
  5. Attendance thresholds for full-day or half-day

These rules help automate attendance calculations.

My Shifts

The My Shifts section allows employees to view their assigned shift schedules.

Calendar View

Employees can view schedules in a monthly calendar format showing:

  1. Assigned work shifts
  2. Week-offs
  3. Holidays
  4. Special events

Schedule List

Employees can also view schedules in list format including:

  1. Schedule ID
  2. Schedule Name
  3. Active Status
  4. Assigned By
