Scan And Go - Let's Get You Started!
The Codes & Allocations module enables organizations to generate and manage QR codes used for attendance or activity verification through the Scan & Go system. This module allows administrators to create QR configurations, define rotation intervals, and assign QR codes to specific employees or departments. The system helps streamline attendance tracking using secure QR-based authentication.
Codes & Allocations
The Codes & Allocations page is used to configure QR codes that employees can scan to perform attendance actions such as check-in or check-out.
Administrators can:
- Create and manage QR codes
- Configure QR security settings
- Assign QR codes to specific users
- Manage QR-based attendance access
The system ensures that QR codes are securely generated and periodically refreshed to prevent misuse.
Scan and Go QR Setup
The QR Code Setup panel allows administrators to create or modify the QR configuration used within the system.
TitleThe name assigned to the QR configuration.Example:TestThis helps identify different QR configurations within the system.
Rotation Interval (Seconds)Defines how frequently the QR code refreshes.Example:20 secondsRegular rotation improves security by preventing the reuse of old QR codes.
Secret KeyA unique encryption key used for generating secure QR codes. This key ensures that the QR codes are valid only within the system and cannot be replicated externally.
DescriptionOptional notes describing the purpose or usage of the QR configuration.Example:santosh
Save QR CodeAfter entering the configuration details, the Save QR Code button stores the QR setup in the system.Once saved, the QR code becomes available for assignment to users.
Assign QR CodeAdministrators can assign the generated QR code to specific employees using the Assign QR option. This ensures that only authorized users can use the QR code for attendance or system access.
Assign Users to QR Code
The Assign Users to QR Code interface allows administrators to manage which employees can use a specific QR code.
The interface includes two panels:
Available Users
- Displays employees who are not yet assigned to the QR code
- Users can be organized by departments such as Marketing, Interns, and Data Analyst
- Administrators can move users from this list to assign them to the QR code
Assigned Users
- Displays employees currently assigned to the QR code
- These users are authorized to scan the QR code for attendance or related actions
Drag and Assign
- Users can be assigned by dragging users between panels
- Move controls can also be used to assign users
- This simplifies assigning QR codes to multiple employees
Save AssignmentsAfter selecting the desired users, administrators must click Save Assignments to finalize the QR code allocation.
